Boydee's first phrase
Yes, my daughter is wearing play jewelry and my son is rockin' a baseball cap in this pic.
Don't they look adorable? They're so cute, they just break my heart.
This literally happened the other day (unlike most everything else on this blog, which is utter science fiction): It's about 4 a.m., maybe 5 a.m. Boydee was making some noises so I was awake and listening, waiting to see if he was going to start crying.
Out of nowhere, loudly, he goes, "I don't like it!"
I'm like, "What the?" Adrianne moved, so I go, "Babe? Did you hear that?" And she responded, "Yeah! 'I don't like it!'" We kind of looked at each other and just shook our heads. Sure enough, Boyd started crying a minute later so Adro picked him up and got him happy/sleepy again.
Strange, his first phrase got here before his first word.

Tried Peking Taste take-out tonight
I ordered:
-- general's chicken
-- broccoli beef
-- fried rice
-- white rice
-- four egg rolls
-- an order of chicken-on-a-stick
I navigated over to the worst intersection in Lawrence, 23rd and Louisiana, and got in there. My food was ready. Both Tony and his female counterpart gave me excited, nervous smiles. Tony was on the phone so we couldn't talk.
The above order was mine for the princely sum of $30.
Three adults (me, Adro and Judy) and one child (Evey) ate off the order and there were still leftovers for lunch today.
All in all, it was OK. Adro gave it a thumb's up. I thought it wasn't quite as good as it used to be. We both thought $30 was just a little too expensive. Maybe if I would have left off the egg rolls or something, $26 or $27 would have "felt" better.
So that's my no-buffet Peking Taste report.

That photo of Boydee is a month of old. He's growing fast!

Christmas Eve cookies
I got lots of good photos from Christmas. I'll post a few soon. My company closed the offices all of last week and this Monday, so I've been off the computer for a while now. It's been a nice break. But I am excited to get back to work and create a cool magazine.
