Lone Fir

A friend of mine snapped this photo of me at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash., two weeks ago.

Yes, I'm on my phone, but I'm tweeting. That's part of my job. With the time difference, those tweets of beauty shots of the course were actually pretty good for Golfdom.

I'll share some of those photos soon.

I dig this photo. It's rare for me to see a photo of me at these places. Usually I'm snapping pics of the course, or of the people working there.

Nice to have an unposed shot of me there. Especially standing there by one of the more famous spots on the course.

San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts

Neat place. There was a wedding going on nearby.

This is the kind of place you want to take a good photo. Sadly, Boyd has his tongue hanging out in the best version we got... and the kind stranger behind the camera took mostly horizontals.

Congrats, Mom!

GREAT NEWS!!!

Adrianne was promoted recently, and the announcement was just made at work: she is now manager, finance department.

Adro has put in 11 years of hard work at GCSAA and her hard work is paying off! We're so proud of you babe! What good news for our family. Thank you for all you do for the family, both at home and at work!

I'm confident that you'll be a great manager of finance, and also the hottest manager of finance EVER.

(Mostly) EPIC

Check out this photo of the Jones family in front of the Golden Gate Bridge... awesome! Boyd is zonked out, but he was loving the walk/ride for two-thirds of the experience, then he fell asleep like a good boy.

Thia was probably my favorite part of San Fran — walking across the Golden Gate Bridge. It's damn near the pyramids, in terms of marvels... which is easy for me to say, having never seen the pyramids of Giza in person, and being a simpleton in general, when it comes to feats of architecture... but Sweet Jesus, I was impressed.

Might be weird to say this, but it made me proud to be an American. And proud to be alive.

San Francisco family vacation is a wrap!

What a cool trip!

I got a ton of great photos, and I'm happy to report that everyone had a great time. The kids were really good, and Rick was an amazing host. We're already talking about our next trip out there.

I know Evey would say the paddleboats were here favorite thing. I think Adro, Judy and me might say walking across the Golden Gate Bridge.

Boydee? I think he found this tunnel to a kids-only section of the aquarium to be pretty awesome.

Golden Gate Bridge, BABY!

Eveys post;

Vacation is awesome.
The family woke up at about the same time. Grandma Judy made really
 good taquitos.

Then we got the stroller and we went to a Golden Gate Bridge shop and bought some things. Then we went to the Golden Gate Bridge bubba got in his stroller then I pushed him up the Golden Gate Bridge. When we got to the middle I got my binoculars out and I saw 3 sea lions flipping and jumping up to get fish it was pretty cool.

We also saw some boats going under the bridge we waved at them and they waved at us.

We finally got to the end it took like 1hour but we where finally done.

Stop-over in San Diego

We had a 7-hour layover in San Diego, so we grabbed lunch at one of my favorite restaurants: Busters. Try the pulled pork sandwich if you are in town... It's on the Marina, right behind the Hyatt.

We also rode the carousel, got ice cream, sat on the rocks and admired the view... Then we ended it with a few games of Uno and Memory.

Boyd was so tired he slept in Adro's arms outside security for about 40 minutes. We are waiting for takeoff on our San Fran flight now, hopefully he naps...

A good stop in San Diego, hope to do that again some time!

BUSTERS!!!

The Joneses

Are going to SAN FRANCISCO!
