Straight out the trailer

Took Adro to see Kid Rock at the Sprint Center on Friday night.

It was a solid show. Adro enjoyed it more than I did -- Kid's gone too country over the years, but I still like him.

Mostly, it was a cool production, with a great stage set-up, pyrotechnics, lighting, etc. I love music, but at the Sprint Center, you really need more than just great music to be entertained, there needs to be some "show" to it. Kid Rock brought the show.

Tickets were the low, low price of $23 a ticket... until Ticketmaster got a hold of them and then almost doubled them to $42 a ticket.

But, good news: There's a Quik-Trip in the Sprint Center, and Adro got a Coke slushee for only $1. And parking, only $2. So I'm taking that into account to offset some of T-Master's B.S. fees.

Best part of the show: Kid Rock is slowing it down for one of his country ballads, when Beavis and Butthead interrupt the song on the big screen. Butthead: "What the hell is this? This sucks! Kid Rock? More like Kid SOFT Rock." Beavis: "Yeah! Where's the baw-it-da-ba da-wa-ditty-ditty!?!?!" And then Kid Rock came running out from the stage to rock out "Bawitdaba" to some huge explosions and fire balls.
