This was a good team. Not as good as last spring's team (they went 5-1-1) but really good. Just needed a few more dogs on defense. And we had one game when no one showed up, we had to play the entire game without subs (give me 2, 3 subs and we win that game.) We went 3-3 on the season.
Boyd had another solid season, several goals, multiple assists, zero complaints. The kind of player that makes life easy for coach.
It was fun. It was great having Adrianne, Evey, Judy and Jess on the sideline cheering Boyd (and me) on.We won't mention the caution in De Soto. That town is crazy. And their field, and officiating, remains... crooked.
I'll miss coaching these kids. But I'm looking forward to seeing how they play for a professional (non-volunteer) coach, and not my amateur hour.
