Picture of a picture

I wonder how my friends are doing in Indiana? I need to make a phone call up that way.

This photo is of (L to R) Bea, me, Dad, Mom, Gauge and Marilyn, taken in Wheatfield, Ind. Gauge is 12 now, so this photo is about 11 years old. That T-shirt I'm wearing was stolen at a Pearl Jam concert in 2003, right after Wake died. It was a Black Belt Jones T-shirt, too... don't see those everyday.

I was a lot skinnier and had darker hair back then. But, good news... an update on my weight loss challenge... I managed to lose about 25 pounds when I went on my diet. That's more than I was shooting for. Now I just want to maintain it for a while.

With Thanksgiving coming up, we'll see how it goes. I love me some green bean casserole and stuffing!

Had a dream about Dad, Mom, Evey and I last night. It involved a fire, and me trying to put out the fire.

Ominous dreams give me the creeps.

So Ferguson is on fire tonight. I like Adrianne's question: Why the hell did they announce this at 9 p.m.?

***

Got Foo Fighter tix on Saturday. That was unexpected fun.

Turkey? Turkey! Turkey.

The sign she made me after a week on the road...

Introducing... Snickers!

The Jones family has a dog!

We have had Snickers, a 9-year-old Dachshund, for more than a month now. We adopted him from a family who lives nearby. They didn't feel like they could give him the attention he deserves because they had a new baby.

Snick has fit in well with our family. He's nervous in general, and also a little clingy to me and Evey.

But he loves our family, he likes his new back yard, and he appreciates the walks we try to take him on daily.

The carousel in front of the Antique Mall

Taken a couple weeks ago. Worth the 50 cents, actually.

Evey digs comics

For the past couple days, Evey has been reading and re-reading this comic. She also learned today what a 'cliffhanger' means, as well as the definition of 'pediatrician.'

I also showed her where all my long boxes are. She thought my entire collection was in my spinner rack (pictured behind Evey.) She didn't know about my other 3,000!

Gave her a Justice League Adventures comic this evening... Hope she continues to find interest in these little pieces of American art...

Good lookin' family

I'm fortunate to have such a good looking family. Plus, they're awesome people.

Even Boyd.

Boydee looks like Peter Parker here, doesn't he?
